In order to write a compelling bio that gets click throughs, you have to recognize that the bio has to be about the reader, not about you, the writer.

You see, most bios are about the writer - how wonderful you are, how much you have accomplished in your subject.

Your reader doesn't care. Your reader cares about one thing - what can I get out of this, what can I do to make more money, or solve these problems, etc.

So your bio should focus on the readers' needs - it should show them that they can learn more from you by clicking through. But remember that it is now about you - it is about what they can learn from you that will help them.

Here are some examples of effective leadins to great bios:

To learn more about (your topic), click here: (your link)

To download my free ebook, click here: (your link)

Want to learn more about how I do it$%: Here is a free website that answers all your questions: (your link)

Notice how all of these leadins give the reader a compelling reason to click through for their own benefit.

Sometimes I will also put in two or three different links to different squeeze pages - sometimes people will sign up for all of them - and keep in mind this means that they are getting several emails a day from me.

If you are using web sites that sell rather than squeeze pages, you can also maximize the readers' return on reading your article by giving them several web pages to visit.

Just keep in mind, the key to the click is in the reader, no in you - talk to the readers' needs, not your own accomplishments.
